DAY 8 = D1 of my 2nd week at FF
"Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it will achieve."Exactly a week ago, I entered the premises of this strange place full of strange people doing all sorts of strangeness for strange reasons. And now, as I woke up today and entered this strange place for the 6th time, I realize that I have become one with the strangeness of all things I've found in here, and as I marched inside, I wholeheartedly embraced it, and said to myself, "Let's get it on!"

Not much is seemingly noticeable about my body after a week of on-off workouts. I feel slightly sad that I'm still adjusting to this kind of lifestyle that I haven't really maximized my BodyFirst sessions and I even skipped gym for 2 days last week. This week, I promised myself I would try my hardest to not skip a day, or at least trim it to just 1 day.
Today, I missed the Zumba class coz I was tired from last night's gig that I overslept. I came in at around 4pm and worked on the treadmill. I ran at 9.0 speed for roughly 20 minutes and burnt a total of 174 calories according to Einstein treadmill. After my warm up run, I went to the stretching station and gave my body a nice extra stretch especially on my legs, thighs and hamstrings. I remember back when Gian was still monitoring my workouts, he told me that everyday, I should do at least 150 ab crunch exercises in 3 sets and then increase my reps as I progress. And now, it is with all pride and dignity that I was able to hold up to the challenge. I finished 150 ab crunches in 3 sets of 50. My early shining moment for this week! I then proceeded to the free space to do some mat exercises and some more stretching. I did 3 sets of 25 of the side ab crunchand the lower ab exercise that involves lifting your legs into the air in 90 degrees and try to keep it straight and lower them down with control without touching the ground. I also did a little air bicycle exercise still for the abs then when I was done, I moved on to the machines.
I feel lost in wonderland when I went out looking for a machine to work on. Honestly, I remember the routines rather vaguely so I sat down for a bit to try to recall what Gian taught me during our circuit training. I didn't remember the exact weight to lift on the machines. So, I only did what I remembered, and I tried very hard to recall the free weight that I did, but unfortunately, it's Saturday today so there's tough competition as for the weights and the machines. So, I wrapped up early then went home.
Honestly, I still feel bad about missing today's Zumba class. I promise myself I would really be stern about my sleeping habit so I won't miss the classes set early in the morning. Tomorrow would be my Day 9, sadly though, Tuesday begged off of our scheduled workout as she's facing some financial adjustments for this week. I luckily managed to get someone I can invite to be my guest for tomorrow which is my chabelita friend, Tanee! And boy, I'm sure she's gonna love it coz early this year, we planned to join a dance studio for their hip hop classes, and now I invited her to join the classes, but for free! And, of course, after our fat-burning,high intensity cardio dance classes, we'll be relaxing with some quality time in the steam bath and sauna.
