DAY 3 = Time for a little time out
" I have learned as a rule of thumb, never to ask whether you can do something. Say, instead, that you are doing it. Then, fasten your seatbelt. The most remarkable things follow. "Today, I felt unbelievably sore! I texted Gian first thing after I woke up that I don't think I can go to the gym today. I couldn't even go down the stairs without feeling a strong oomph across my thighs. Can't even scratch my back coz of sore arm muscles. Initially, after our workout yesterday, Gian asked me to take a rest for today as I need to give my muscles a break after my 5k run and the strenuous workout my body is not used to yet. He said my body also needs to adjust to its new physical routine. He even visualized it as muscles being torn apart and I must take time to heal those torn muscles for it to function more properly and at its best. I told him I won't be having a session with him, but I still might drop by the gym for a yoga class or a relaxing steam bath or sauna. But when I woke up this morning, MY, MY, just turning to the other side was painful as HELL! That's when I decided to skip my yoga and steam bath plans and just stay home and take the day off of gym.

But then, I almost forgot my scheduled coffee date with my buddy, Stephen down at Starbucks, Shangri-la. We've scheduled it last week so I hate to cancel it up to the last minute just coz it slipped my mind. My entire body's sore, but the pain is tolerable. So I dolled up just a lil bit and headed off to Shangri-la and decided to cover some little errands along the way. We were finished chitchatting in less than 2 hours, then he brought me home. I had my much needed break and rest, but boy I missed the gym. I am sooo looking forward to my 3rd and final BodyFirst session with Gian tomorrow. Norman also called me a while back, teling me he'll come over tomorrow around mid afternoon. =) Tomorrow marks the deadline Aldrin gave me for that limited December offer. I think I've made up my mind... Wish me luck folks, and I hope what I'm about to do would benefit be rather than the otherwise.
My meals for today are as follows :
- Lunch : kalabasa w/ pork
- mid afternoon snack : wheat bread w/ eggs
- Coffee date : Hot Caramel Macchiato non fat milk
- dinner : 1 cup brown rice and century tuna in brine / grapes
