Here's to Leo

Though we may not have shared the most intimate times back in high school, you've etched this special place in my heart. It was rather late when I had the chance to bond and really get to know you. It was October of 2005 when we spent a great deal of time together while rehearsing for the Mr. and Ms. United Nations pageant. As you know, I was quite undersupplied with self esteem during those times and I just felt like an ugly duckling finding myself in an arena I was never used to be around in, but you were there to make me feel at ease. We had some small talks, I remember us laughing hard at the other candidates discreetly, and that memory just made me smile as I am writing this post now. When the day of the pageant and coronation came and we were hailed the winners, we sincerely applauded each other's success and we were genuinely proud of ourselves. That was an impregnable part of my high school life that I will never ever forget, and I had YOU there with me. You are and will always be the flamboyant, always jolly, and smiley Leo that I knew. I know I wouldnt have much to compare to all those who are much closer to you, but I just want to pay due tribute to that one person who had given me a bright smile once upon an October.

Leo, I am immensely blessed to have you as part of my life. Thank you for the groovy memories. Even though I feel a little awkward about posting these photos of us, nah, I 'd post them anyway. After all, there was no facebook yet during our time. I just hope I posted these earlier though coz I'd really like to know what you have to say (kahit okray).

Smile upon us as we cope with the pain of missing you.
