Letter #1 : To my bestfriend
Dearest best friend,
I’ve written a lot of letters to you during the entire course of our more than 10-year old friendship. I cannot imagine somebody who thoroughly knows the meanings of the microexpressions on my face and the slightest tension on my voice, and the millisecond squint of my eye. I cannot think of anyone else outside my family whom I shared so many memories with. I know you know that this is me saying that you are an important part of my life and you took a big role in honing who I’ve been and who I’ve grown to be. You are more than just a best friend to me, you are my sister.
I know that over the latter years, we’ve drifted quite a distance. But just know that nothing can tear down a friendship built out of 10 long years of laughter, smiles, giggles, sorrows, gossips, food trippings, connivances, surprises, sorrows, and scoldings. You will always be my best friend. No matter what. It’s a lifetime pact, and no matter how many people may come our ways, no matter how many fights we’ll go through, there are no breakups. We will get past all of those. After all, blood is thicker than water. And you are my true sister. I’m also aware that you know I cannot say all these out loud. This is the only way you could know all my thoughts. So, I’ll grab this opportunity to say all my sorrys and i miss yous to you.
